Jerry Fitchett started the Company ‘Spanish Tiles Direct’ on a whim. Six years ago Jerry and his wife were having a house built in Brixworth, Northants and it became imperative that they chose the interior décor before the house was completed. On a visit to a very large, well known tile supplier Jerry and Kate found just the tiles they were looking for to finish off their kitchen. Having lived, worked and currently own a property in Spain they had spotted the exact same tiles for less than half the price near to their property in Spain.

After much research and investigation it was decided that there was great opportunity to set up a company whereby Jerry could buy tiles and natural stone directly from Spain cutting out the middleman to the customer. This would allow the customer to get high quality products and exclusivity at less than high street prices. The customer, it was decided would be split in two ways:

1. The more discerning individuals who may be working on their own small development projects in their home and appreciate quality and exclusivity.

2. To the commercial aspect whereby Spanish Tiles Direct would supply greater quantities of material to larger development companies, house builders, conservatory suppliers etc. This idea hugely benefited from the abilities of Jerry to speak fluent Spanish and his Directors role with a large logistics company based in Spain. Suddenly the whole jigsaw fitted together perfectly.

It is from that moment that the owner of ‘Spanish Tiles Direct’ has never looked back, gradually building on contacts in the Northamptonshire area and further afield the business has grown in profitability and reputation.
